Dental Hygienist Position

Our licensed professionals provide exceptional treatment and care of the mouth, teeth and gums of our patients by treating the patient first.

Responsibilities

• Conduct an initial dental assessment and consult with dentists on patient care.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene instructions and other dental-related areas.
• Review and reinforce treatment plans.
• Review medical and dental history with patients.
• Clean and stimulate gums to help prevent gum disease.
• Perform sub-gingival scaling, root planing, and soft tissue curettage.
• Apply fluoride and other cavity-preventing agents to arrest dental decay.
• Administer local anesthetic.
• Perform perio and tooth charting.
• Complete charting based on each patient's dental needs.
• Ensure patients have up-to-date digital radiographs (X-rays).
• Provide an intra-oral camera tour of the patient's mouth.
• Manage each patient's hygiene regimen.
• Clean the hygiene operatory, sterilize instruments, and prepare the operatory for patients.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
